ALL Bemidji Youth Football events, including games and practices will be held at the Bemidji Boys & Girls Club unless otherwise noted.

Announcements & Upcoming Events

  • August 15th, 2011Extended Registration is Closed. Any exceptions need to be presented to the BYF Board and decisions will be made on a case-to-case basis.

  • August 16th, 2011 – SUBWAY presents Ladies Night with guest speaker and BHS Head Football Coach, Troy Hendricks. Ladies Night is designed for moms and/or female fans who would like to learn more about the fundamentals of football and the plays that are used in BYF. The event will be held from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at the Boys and Girls Club with dinner provided by Subway.

  • August 20th, 2011 - Equipment Day will be held at the Boys and Girls Club from 10:00am - 2:30pm
    • 3rd Grade: 10:00am - 11:30am with a mandatory parent meeting at 10:00am
    • 4th Grade: 11:30am - 1:00pm with a mandatory parent meeting at 11:30am
    • 5th Grade: 1:00pm - 2:30pm with a mandatory parent meeting at 1:00pm
    • If you are unable to attend during your child's time slot you may attend any of the other times.

  • August 22nd-23rd, 2011– Applebee’s Dining to Donate. 
    • Applebee’s will donate 15% of your check when you dine at Bemidji Applebee’s on August 22nd-23rd. This offer is good ALL DAY.  Please join us! 
    • Flyer must be presented to the server in order for us to receive the donation. Thank you for your support!

  • August 23rd, 2011 - Coach’s Meeting will be held at Applebee’s from
    5:30pm – 7:00pm.  We will go over our program and rulebook at this time.
  • August 25th, 2011BSU Beavers Home Game will honor all the Bemidji Youth Football players during their Community Appreciation Day.  All participants wearing their BYF jersey will get into the BSU game for FREE (please contact us if you did not receive your free ticket at Equipment Day) with an accompanied paid adult.  There will be special seating in the end zone for the players and they will have the opportunity to create a tunnel for the BSU players to enter through at the start of the game. The game starts at 7:00pm. Please be there at least 30 minutes prior.
  • August 26th, 2011 - Equipment Make-Up Day will be held at the Boys and Girls Club from 4:00pm - 5:30pm for anyone in 3rd-5th grade that missed the original date. There will be a mandatory parent meeting at 4:00pm.
    • If you are unable to attend the equipment makeup day, please contact BYF at 556-HIKE as soon as possible.

  • August 29th, 2011 - First Day of Training Camp will be held at the Boys and Girls Club. Parents need to provide transportation to the fields for their children until school starts. At this time, a charter bus will transport the participants to the fields from the elementary schools. Participants need to be at the fields by 3:45pm for practice.
    • Pepsi Kickoff Cook-off will be held immediately after practice from
      6:00pm-8:00pm at the Boys & Girls Club. Parent(s) or Guardian(s) must be in attendance for this event.
    • Meet your favorite BHS and BSU football players at an autograph session.
    • Food and Drinks provided

  • August 29th, 2011 - Last Day To Order Apparel - All apparel orders must be received by this date. Orders can mailed to Bemidji Youth Football, P.O. Box 2011, Bemidji, MN 56619. Please check out our order form.

  • October 17th-26th, 2011 - Playoff Schedule.

    All regular playoff games will be held at the Boys and Girls Club at 4:30pm.
  • October 26th, 2011
  • TEAMS IN THE LUMBERJACK BOWL - Teams will hold a short practice until 4:45pm.
  • TEAMS NOT IN THE LUMBERJACK BOWL - Equipment Return Day - Players will meet with their team and their coach will check-in all equipment - helmet, shoulder pads, and pants along with their bag. The game jerseys and mouth guards are for them to keep. All other personal items will be sent home. After the bag is checked it should be hung back up on their hook.
  • ALL TEAMS - We will have pizza and pop for all players and coaches at 4:45pm. Players can throw around a football and have fun. Parents can pick up their children any time between 5:15-6:00pm.
  • October 29th, 2011 - Lumberjack Bowl Championship Game will be held at BSU Chet Anderson Stadium. We request the presence of all BYF players and coaches as we will introduce each player/coach at the half-time of their respective grade's game. This is a free event for all fans.
    3rd Grade: 11 am
    4th Grade: 1pm
    5th Grade: 3pm
  • ALL TEAMS IN THE LUMBERJACK BOWL - Please arrive at the Boys and Girls Club at least one hour before the game starts. Players will need time to change and the coaches will be walking their team to the BSU Chet Anderson Stadium. After the game, the coaches will walk their team back to the Boys and Girls club to return their equipment. Parents can pick up their child after the game and after they turn in their equipment at the Boys and Girls Club.
  • TEAMS NOT IN THE LUMBERJACK BOWL - Please arrive to your grades' game 10-15 mins prior to the start of the game at the BSU field NOT the Boys and Girls Club. Here they will meet up with their coach. We ask that players sit with their team at least through the first half as we will introduce each team/coach/player at half-time and present them with an award. After the half, players can sit with their families. Please have your children wear their jerseys.
